In certain cases, it may be permitted to establish extraction in the cabin walls instead of the floor.

Wall extraction, if permitted, can avoid excavation and casting for floor channels. However, wall extraction results in a slightly poorer work environment, as operators are exposed to particles drawn towards the wall instead of the floor.
